No work today…

Today was really cool because nobody had to work. The place was hoppin’ with families playing on the beach, swimming and just being friendly. While the kids were out on the beach, a man decided to climb a coconut tree and and cut some coconuts for the kids. I got a great video of him climbing the tree. Braden says the coconut was good… especially the slimy part on the inside.Kyndal made a new friend named Hawnit. I’m not real sure if thats how you spell it, but thats kind of how it sounds. Kyndal didnt like the coconut so much. In the background, you can see Ibrahim coming down from the coconut tree.I made a new friend and his name is Ibrahim. Ibrahim invited me to go fishing tomorrow at 10:30am. I said sure why not. While we were out swimming, a man came by on a wave runner. He invited Braden to go for a ride, so he did. The people here are so nice and friendly.In my post yesterday, I indicated that we purchased a washer/dryer combo. Well I guess I need to clarify. We got it all hooked up which was kind of funny trying to figure it out. We had to buy a hose a couple of clamps and faucet to hook it up. Fortunately our flat has a drain for it. As we began reading the directions, what they mean by “dryer” is the spin cycle. You have to manually transfer the clothes from the washing portion to the spin portion about every 2-3 minutes. I never really knew what all an “automatic” washer did, but I’m bettin’ is the same as the “manual” one. The dryer is the strong breeze that blows in and through our house. We have clothes hanging everywhere… out every window, door, light fixture, door knob and any other place we can find. We hung out on the beach tonight with everybody and their…. (well normally we would say dog here, but since there are not any in this country, we will just say their fish.) Everybody was out today it was a great day for meeting new people and building new relationships.
